The Ask

How do we craft a space for Billie Eilish stans to create unique Shorts content and celebrate her album launch?

Drawing inspiration from the mood of the album as a whole, and fans’ familiarity with the artist’s signature style, we helped set the stage for a new era of artist engagement on Shorts. We created an all-blue space to generate excitement for nearly 15,000 fans in anticipation of Billie Eilish’s new single, “Lunch” and upcoming album launch. Offering an only-here content moment using Shorts, Billie herself joined in on the iconic mirror selfie trend at the booth!

Guests were led to special content creation rooms, lined on all sides (yes, even the door too!) with full length, electric blue-lit mirrors. Whether going in solo, or gathering friends, up to 15,000 attendees engaged with Billie’s “Lunch” trend using Shorts and took all the more “selfies in the mirror.”

After creating their unique Short, fans had the opportunity to see their content pop up on the big screen elsewhere in the Barclays arena.

The activation included interactive silvery mirrors, Blosh signage (if you know, you know) and a special performance stage where Billie surprised her fans at the end of the night.
