How do we introduce the tiny but mighty Google Home Mini to consumers and convey that this smart home device lives up to its launch promise:  the Size of a Donut, the Power of a Superhero. 


To demonstrate the simplicity of the Google Home Mini and showcase its deliciously donut-sized shape, MAS launched a 15-city tour that placed the product inside the magical world of a Donut Shop.

Filled with surprise and delight moments, the activation gave guests the opportunity to interact with the device and win their very own Google Home Mini — or a delicious donut. A winding conveyor belt moved through the Shop, creating an interactive and photo-worthy wonderland. MAS brought this Willy Wonka-inspired donut experience to life in various forms, from a mobile activation to a physical pop-up shop, in cities across North America.

77,000 donuts devoured. 22,000 Home Minis gifted. 51,000 guests through the door. 22MM+ social impressions. The Google Home Mini tour continues to live on today, with appearances at Google’s annual CES activation and the Academy Awards.

The program received seven first place industry awards, including Best Consumer Activation from Event Marketer. The overall consensus? “The Google Home Mini Donut Shop is the happiest place on earth!”
